Using the APAPTox service means you agree to these Terms of Use. APAPTox offers a first assessment of suspected acetaminophen overdose instances, therefore assisting medical professionals. Users know this instrument is not diagnostic and cannot replace a competent medical evaluation.
2. Purpose of the Service
APAPTox offers a quick, simplified analysis based on the Rumack-Matthew nomogram and the most updated guidelines, facilitating the first clinical evaluation. Although it provides general advice—that is, seeking medical attention—it is not a replacement for professional medical services.
3. Responsibility of Use
APAPTox is not a replacement for clinical judgment or medical diagnosis. Users should not make treatment decisions based solely on the tool's output. In a medical emergency, users are required to contact medical toxicologists immediately. The user alone has full responsibility for using this instrument.
4. Limitations of Use
The tool may only be used for lawful and clinically relevant purposes. 5. Intellectual Property.
Medical Toxicology LLC owns all of the APPTOX software code, user interface components, analysis, and materials. Reproduction, transfer, or alteration without permission may lead to legal action.
