Medical Toxicology Privacy Policy
Go to Medical Toxicology ProductLast updated on:September 2, 2026
1. Scope
This policy covers medicaltoxic.com — the public MedicalToxic website, where we publish blogs, news, guidelines, case studies and Tox Spotlight, together with its newsletter, contact form, search and commenting. It does not cover our other products. ToxLumen, the Medical Toxicology Community and the MedicalToxic CMS each have their own privacy policy.
2. Our Position on Patient Information
This website is a publication, not a clinical system. We do not want and do not knowingly collect patient information here. Please do not send patient details through the contact form, in a comment, or through any other channel on this site. If you do, we will delete them.
3. Information You Give Us
• Newsletter: your email address, and nothing else. • Contact form: your name, email address, subject, message, and an optional file attachment. Submissions are recorded with the page they came from. • Comments and likes: the content you post and the account it is posted from. Commenting requires a signed-in MedicalToxic account. • Account: if you sign in, an authentication token is stored in a cookie on your device. Accounts themselves are managed by the central MedicalToxic account service.
4. Information Collected Automatically
• Standard server logs: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and timestamps. • Article view counts. These are aggregate — they measure the article, not you. • Search terms entered into site search.
6. How We Use This Information
• To serve the site and keep you signed in. • To answer your enquiry when you contact us. • To send the newsletter you asked for. • To publish your comment and attribute it to your account. • To understand how the site is used, in aggregate, and improve it. • To keep the site secure and prevent abuse. We do not sell your personal information. Where you have accepted the optional services in section 5, the Google Ads tag loaded through Tag Manager may be used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising, and Google may use the resulting data in accordance with its own terms. If you decline, that tag does not load at all.
8. How Long We Keep It
• Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe. Every email carries an unsubscribe link. • Contact submissions: for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and keep a record of it. • Comments: until you or we remove them. • Server logs: a short rolling window, for security and diagnostics. • Analytics data: according to the retention settings of the providers named in section 5.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to receive a copy of it, to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time — including by unsubscribing from the newsletter. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, use the contact form at medicaltoxic.com/contact-us.
10. Children
This site is intended for healthcare professionals and for adults seeking toxicology information. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International Visitors
Medical Toxicology LLC is based in the United States and processes information there. If you visit from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection law may differ from your own.
12. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy. Material changes will be published here with a new "last updated" date. Medical Toxicology LLC 6421 N Tierra de las Catalinas, Tucson, AZ 85718, United States Questions about this policy: medicaltoxic.com/contact-us
